Gassiev VS Dorticos, Minus The VS: GIF Spotlight

The World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight tournament is yielding rewards aplenty for us. The cause of a true tournament to sort out the best of a division is not being treated lightly. It's incredible to have accomplished what is taking place right now. Great competitors are always there. The initiative to bring them together effectively? It's often nonexistent on the part of those who run boxing. But it's all going the right way, right now, in this division. Today, Yunier Dorticos, of Cuba, laid his heart, soul and body on the line to fight Russia's Murat Gassiev. His only problem was that Gassiev was prepared to do the same. Reflecting what they both gave in the ring, Gassiev was seen consoling Dorticos in an emotional post-fight presser.

This is the best of boxing. What we're seeing in this tournament is the best of what boxing offers. Usyk, Gassiev, Dorticos, Briedis, this is arguably now the flagship division of boxing in the year 2018. It might finally be the time this division gets recognized as something more than that place between two historically rich divisions-something to be skipped over if you want money and/or glory. The glory is here now, as far as I'm concerned. Cheers to everyone involved.
